ILS Proton launched Echostar 14

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, March 21, 2010 –  ILS Proton Breeze M launched from Pad 39 at the Cosmodrome at 00:27 today local time (14:27 EDT, 18:27 GMT) successfully carried the Echostar XIV satellite into orbit today for DISH Network L.L.C. Breeze M successfully released the satellite into geosynchronous transfer orbit after a nine-hour, 10-minute mission. Echostar XIV weighing more than 6.3 metric tons, is the heaviest satellite launched on ILS Proton to date.

Intelsat 16 is launched successfully

Intelsat S.A., the world’s leading provider of fixed satellite services, announced today that International Launch Services (ILS) successfully launched the Intelsat 16 satellite (IS-16) from Baikonur.

Intelsat 4 experienced anomaly

Intelsat S.A. announced today that its Intelsat 4 satellite (IS-4), located at 72° East Longitude, experienced an anomaly on 1 February 2010 at approximately 00:18 GMT. Intelsat is working with affected customers to identify restoration capacity.

Eutelsat W2 technical issues

At the moment there are some technical issues with Eutelsat W2 (16East). Nobody can receive any of the frequencies from that bird. Let's wait for the official statements from Eutelsat and let's hope that the issues are temporary and will be fixed shortly.

Proton Successfully Launches DirecTV 12 Satellite

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, December 29, 2009 – International Launch Services (ILS), a leading mission and launch services provider for the global commercial satellite industry, successfully carried the DIRECTV 12 satellite into orbit today for DIRECTV of El Segundo, California, on an ILS Proton.
