Eutelsat and ictQATAR Select Space Systems/Loral to Deliver Their Joint Venture Satellite

Paris, Doha, Palo Alto, 15 July 2010

Eutelsat Communications (Euronext Paris: ETL) and ictQATAR (representing the State of Qatar) announce today that following an international consultation, Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) has been selected to build the high-performance satellite they will jointly own and operate at the 25.5° East location in geostationary orbit.

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, July 11, 2010

International Launch Services (ILS) successfully launched the EchoStar XV satellite into orbit today on an ILS Proton/Breeze M for DISH Network L.L.C., the fastest-growing pay-TV provider in America. EchoStar 15 is based on LS-1300 bus and will begin operations at 61West position later this month after in-orbit testing of the satellite.

Insat 4B affected by power problem

Due to a power supply anomaly in one of its two solar panels, there is a partial non-availability of services on India’s INSAT-4B Communication satellite (6 C-band and 6 Ku-band transponders).

Palo Alto, Calif. – July 6, 2010

Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) announced that it has been awarded a contract to manufacture a new Amazonas 3 spacecraft for HISPASAT Group. The new satellite will be based on the Space Systems/Loral 1300 satellite bus and will use its 33 Ku-band 19 C-band transponders to deliver TV and radio programming to Europe, North and South America.
